On the 30th of last month, the cold chain platform company Thermo Lab Korea signed a strategic business agreement with Alive, the pharmaceutical and medical device logistics company as part of its bio-logistics platform commercialization strategy.
The two companies will combine their outstanding and advanced technologies to improve their business competitiveness and synergy while also seeking potential business growth opportunities.
In particular, the companies are expected to accelerate their business and present an innovative platform business model through Paas (Packaging as a Service), the cloud-based subscription model cold chain service. They plan to provide a successful service including verified temperature-controlled packaging (TCP), data logging, electronic invoices through Early Payment Discount (EPD), logistics-linked control solutions (app and web), and validation report documentation at a fixed monthly fee without any additional costs.
Alive, which signed the business agreement with Thermo Lab Korea, is a logistics company providing safe and efficient services including the import, customs clearance, storage, and delivery of medicine, medical devices, and in vitro diagnostic medical devices. The company is currently working with several multinational global companies. Alive is complying with domestic and foreign quality requirements such as ISO13485, ISO9001, and GSP requirements while maintaining strict quality control by conducting on-site inspections by ABBOTT (USA), GRIFOLS (Spain), and DREAMTECH (Korea).
Thermo Lab Korea’s CEO 최석 stated, "We will do our best to accomplish digital transformation (DX) through cold chain packaging and introduce PaaS in the market as an innovative platform business model.”
